KIDS IN PARKS

A HEALTHY FUTURE STARTS OUTSIDE

THE CHALLENGE

Today’s children spend an average of 7+ hours a day on screens—yet just minutes outdoors.

This disconnect from nature is directly linked to rising rates of childhood obesity, anxiety, and chronic illness.

Doctors are now prescribing time in nature as a form of preventative care. But for many families, access to safe, engaging outdoor spaces remains limited.

THE SOLUTION

Kids in Parks is a nationally acclaimed initiative that transforms ordinary trails into extraordinary adventures. Through TRACK Trails, families are guided on fun, educational hikes that spark curiosity, connection, and lifelong health habits.

Launched by the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, Kids in Parks is redefining what it means to “play outside.”

And it’s working.
