THE CHALLENGE
For nearly 30 years, LEAF Global Arts has been a cultural cornerstone of Asheville—connecting local youth to global traditions, and bringing international artists to our region through music, movement, and art.
But with the loss of key federal funding, this beloved organization is now at risk.
In 2024, LEAF lost its National Endowment for the Arts support, leaving a $250,000 funding gap that threatens their ability to serve thousands of youth, artists, and cultural bearers.

LEAF Retreat & Festival
Intimate gatherings and vibrant festivals that bring together local and international artists in a celebration of creativity and culture.
LEAF Schools & Streets
Year-round arts education in schools, community centers, and after-school programs—empowering youth through dance, music, poetry, and storytelling.
LEAF International
Long-term partnerships with communities in 10+ countries, supporting cultural preservation and exchange.
LEAF Downtown & Global HQ
An interactive cultural center and music studio located in the heart of Asheville that offers daily programming, community workshops, and space for emerging artists.
Artist Showcases & Cultural Exchanges
Cross-cultural performances, residencies, and mentoring that amplify diverse voices and traditions.
